Alessandro Enriquez presents his new Fall/Winter 24-25 collection with the intention of conveying a universal message: PEACE!
The new Fall/Winter 2024 collection by Alessandro Enriquez draws inspiration from the world of flowers, without excluding any, bringing together different shapes, species, and colors and offering fantastic and surreal prints, choosing to be represented by the symbol that has always depicted peace.
„I have always told the story of love through my collections, and season after season LOVE LOVE LOVE, embroidered, printed, or jacquarded, has become my most representative slogan. Dressing with love has always been my most beautiful proposal. However, today my attention is focused on the need for a return to that love; I believe that even fashion should shout out a strong ceasefire, and with the voice of my brand, though not very large, I would like to challenge the silence of our society and ensure that my collection sends out an invitation, a request, a desire, to interrupt tensions and conflicts, thus hoping for a return to love and peace. I do not want to express a political thought, but of Peace! PACE CI PIACE will be the slogan of this season, my new message to spread with the hope that it reaches everyone. We are witnessing daily tragedies, massacres, too many innocent deaths. Too many men, women, and children are leaving us. Therefore, I have designed symbols, my peace flowers that I will exhibit in a public exhibition at the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum along with works created in collaboration with Marco Lodola. Everyone is invited, all are welcome guests, all are welcome to hold us tightly in a hug of solidarity. All I ask is to spread this message of peace because it is what we all truly need!“
„Flowers of love,“ „polka dot flowers,“ „firework flowers,“ Alessandro’s „flower market“ come to life in a dalíesque atmosphere, where vibrant hydrangeas, field flowers in celebration, daisy checks, and many lucky insects like ladybugs, bees, or beetles, are the true protagonists of a collection, warm in its offering, to wrap us in love and remind us that all of us, like flowers, are children of this earth from which they bloom and in which the most beautiful flowers live, only if we preserve them.
Alessandro collaborates with the flower designers of „Il profumo dei fiori“ for a capsule collection of t-shirts and sweatshirts. Together, they distribute „flower bombs“ for free, the only ones allowed to explode beautifully, to make flowers bloom effortlessly everywhere, on the balcony, in a vase, or in a park or garden, with colorful and fresh blooms.
The designer’s patterns gently lay on natural fabrics like silk, viscose, wool, or cotton poplin, as well as on technical fabrics like nylon, to create a winter atmosphere full of color and positivity.
The warm outerwear includes oversized padded and floral down jackets, wool coats in bright solid colors, from fuchsia to red to purple.
Fabrics from men’s shirting make their way into the women’s wardrobe, blending to create the flagship piece of the collection: the tailored shirt. Striped cotton or piqué fabrics pair with printed poplins, giving life to a unique and recognizable unisex garment, for him and for her, that peacefully pleases everyone.
The brushed wool knitwear comes in multiple proposals and models, with heart or flower- shaped buttons as details, creating a thematic thread to match the prints.
Tulle, fitted almost like a second skin, is enriched with floral prints, while fringes, the real novelty of the season, embellish the crisp colored duchesse dresses and create a magical movement in the various lengths of kaftans, perfect as evening dresses. Fitted shirt dresses and new 1970s-style dresses with trapeze sleeves, flared and slipped over a softer waist, open in daring slits and pair with bright lace and shawls, complementing all collection looks, paying tribute to Spain, beloved by Alessandro, also depicted in prints with maxi roses and stars.
