In 2021, UNION GLASHÜTTE presented the first water sports watch with retro charm in its classic Noramis line. Now there is an interesting update to the line: it is being supplemented by three sporty chronograph variants. In the colors blue, anthracite and turquoise. The dégradé dials change color – as with the three-hand variants – from light in the middle to dark at the outer edges. The chronographs feature the line’s sophisticated retro details: mushroom pushers, extremely curved watch glass made of scratch-resistant sapphire and a unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel. The chronograph totalizers are located at 3 and 9 o’clock.
The dial of the new chronograph version is also slightly curved. This means that the respective color gradient of the watch is particularly effective and allows the watch to shine depending on the incidence of light. The triangular hands are polished and satin-finished. For better readability under water, the indices and tips are also coated with Super-LumiNova®. The two embedded totalizers at 3 and 9 o’clock are set off in silver for better and quicker visibility. As is typical of the Noramis line, the date display is located in the totalizer at 9 o’clock.
The Noramis Chronograph Sport complements the sporty character of the watch in a classically elegant way with the polished case and the satin-finished sides. The crown is screwed down. A screwed back made of sapphire crystal reveals the caliber UNG-27.S2. An elaborate movement with a silicon hairspring and over 65 hours of power reserve. With a diameter of 43mm, the chronograph follows the downsizing trend and fits a variety of wrists.
The color formations of the dials are highlighted by different interchangeable straps. The blue version is available with a blue rubber strap with a double folding clasp and the other two versions with a black or gray textile strap.
