SO SOON – „Everything Matters, Nothing Matters“ + Tour – Exclusive Interview

Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to sip on while they listen to your new music?

Probably a beer of your choice.

Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!

We’re about to release our second album, titled Everything Matters, Nothing Matters. It’s coming out on October 16th. We’ll be releasing two more singles beforehand and after that, we’ll tour in November.

Name 5 things we all should know about you as a band?!

So Soon consists of two people, David and Marco. For our live shows we’re joined by two of our friends (one of them is David’s brother).

We have been long time friends since school.

We love folk, indie, ambient and rock music. (And jazz)

We’d love to play our music on big stages.

We write, record and produce our music on our own.

What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

Good question. Maybe something classic and timeless.

We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)

It would really be awesome if “The Simpsons” actually could prophecy the future. But Jay-Z being a time-traveling vampire also sounds like something worth checking out.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

We’d love to go back to a time when social media followers, listeners per month and how many TikTok videos you posted wasn’t that relevant in terms of having a career in music. We’d like to have more time for writing songs and actually doing what we love instead of filming and documenting it for platforms that might be obsolete in a couple of years.

Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

We mostly write somehow autobiographically, about what’s on our minds, what bothers us or just a theme that seems to be important in a certain stage of live. For our new album, it’s mostly personal stories, emotional turning points, and the search for direction in a world full of possibilities and challenges.

We love music that completely draws you in and takes you on an emotional journey. We like depth and intensity, as well as a certain grandeur. We’d like to create music that lets you escape into a different world for a little while. Basically, we try to make exactly that kind of music.

A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls

What’s something about this band that you can’t really explain, but you know is the reason it works?

We think it’s the fact that we don’t always agree. We come from different places, have different instincts, and sometimes fight pretty hard for an idea. But somehow that friction ends up in the music. I think if we all wanted exactly the same thing, the band would probably be much less interesting.
