Blundstone is selective when it comes to collaborations. Rare partnerships—such as the one with Comme des Garçons for Spring 2025—are formed exclusively with brands that share the values of this 150-year-old Tasmanian heritage brand (durability, functionality, and authenticity) and are likewise rooted in the heritage, outdoor, or design sectors.
Their latest move is a collaboration with Amsterdam’s POP Trading Company, one of Europe’s most exciting streetwear brands. Deeply rooted in skate culture, the brand successfully blends skater aesthetics with high-quality contemporary fashion. POP Trading Company founder Ric van Rest has worn „Blunnies“ for years, making this collaboration a natural fit.
Driven by mutual appreciation, a wealth of wild ideas, and plenty of fun, the two brands spent three years in a creative dialogue reimagining the iconic Chelsea boot; they are set to launch three limited-edition styles on July 22, 2026.
The focus is on the material: cowhide—the natural beauty of which makes every pair unique, as no two are alike.
The Chelsea boot is available in an all-over cowhide version, as well as in brushed suede with a cowhide backstrap, offered in „Glazed Ginger“ and „Double Black“ colorways. All models subtly nod to the workwear aesthetic—a style deeply embedded in skate culture.
