Sid Seth – “Precious Gift” + Exclusive Interview

1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers, what kind of drink would you recommend sipping while listening to your new music?

If it’s the morning, definitely a nice cup of chai. If it’s the evening, perhaps a Tom Collins!

Although, depending on which song you’re listening to, you might need something a little stronger. Haha!

2. Please give us an update about your new single, new album, tour dates, and new videos!

I recently released a song called „Precious Gift,“ which is probably the most personal song I’ve ever written. It’s a tribute to my late mother, and writing it was my way of navigating grief and finding a little bit of comfort through music.

There’s also a music video out now, which I’m incredibly proud of. It was a very intimate, independent project made with some wonderful friends.

Beyond that, I’ve been writing and recording a lot of new music. Some of it explores heartbreak, some of it is about love, and some of it is about those strange, complicated feelings we don’t always know what to do with.

I recently performed in New York with my band, and getting to share some of these songs live was really special.

There’s a lot more music coming, and hopefully many more shows too!

3. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which harmless theory would you wish were true?

Just tell me there’s a dragon somewhere, PLEASE!!

Or that Hogwarts is real. PLEASE!!!

Honestly, I’d be perfectly happy receiving a very delayed acceptance letter. I won’t even complain.

4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

Ooh, that’s a difficult one. I don’t think I could pick just one.

Maybe a blend of Lemaire and Sabyasachi?

I love the understated elegance and sensuality of Lemaire, but also the romance, richness, and storytelling of Sabyasachi.

Somewhere between the two feels quite right. A little timeless, a little dramatic, but never trying too hard.

5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

Love, grief, heartbreak. All the fun stuff! Haha!

I think I’m fascinated by human relationships and everything that comes with them. The beautiful parts, the uncomfortable parts, and especially the things we struggle to say out loud.

My songs tend to come from very personal places, but I hope people find little pieces of their own stories in them.

I don’t necessarily want to tell people what to feel. I’d rather give them something they can feel with.

6. Besides music, do you have any special talents?

I can do a headstand! 🙂

Does that count?

7. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist!

  1. I’m classically trained in opera, but I’m a complete pop baby at heart.
  2. I’m a sucker for a beautiful melody. Always have been, always will be.
  3. I love a good sad song. Even better if you can dance to it.
  4. Performing live is probably my favorite part of being a musician. There’s nothing quite like sharing a room with people who are listening to your stories.
  5. I love experimenting with different sounds and influences. I don’t think good music needs to fit neatly into one box.

8. The road so far… who or what was your biggest support?

My parents, without a doubt.

They’ve believed in me through every strange turn this journey has taken, even when I wasn’t entirely sure where I was going myself.

Losing my mom changed everything for me. There was a time when I genuinely didn’t know if I wanted to continue making music.

But strangely, music has also become the thing that’s helping me find my way through it.

I’m incredibly grateful for my dad, my friends, my team, and the people who continue to show up for me.

I think the older I get, the more I realize that nobody really does any of this alone.

9. A question you’d like to answer but have never been asked in an interview before? + Answer, please!

Question: If your songs could do one thing for someone, what would you want that to be?

I’d want them to make someone feel a little less alone.

I think we all walk around carrying things that other people know absolutely nothing about. Sometimes it’s heartbreak, sometimes it’s grief, and sometimes it’s just a feeling we can’t quite explain.

And then you hear a song, and for three or four minutes, someone you’ve never met seems to understand exactly what you’re going through.

I’ve had that experience with so many artists.

If I could give someone even a little bit of that feeling through my own music, I’d be very happy.
