1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to zip on while they listen to your new music?
Jordan: I’m a huge fan of black coffee while listening to music. Billy has between 40 and 50 cups of tea a day so if he says anything other than that I’ll be shocked.
Billy: Yorkshire tea. Or Dandelion and Burdock with Jack Daniels. Me and jordan made it once as there was nothing else and turns out it’s great.
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
Early Warning is our first single and it was actually the first song we ever wrote together! We have a whole lineup of singles ready to go also which we will be releasing in the coming months!
3. Name 5 things we all should know about you as a band?!
- We’re both heavily influenced by Alan partridge.
- When asked, both of us we’ll say we could beat anyone in a professional fight. This is only true of one of us.
- We’ve been best mates since we were about 3yrs old but only started making music together during lockdown.
- We produce songs however we feel at the time and don’t try to pigeon hole out style.
- We rarely count to five because most of our songs are in 4/4.
4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
If Gucci did a collab with McDonald’s. Pushing boundaries and bringing expense and class to obtainability. Two ends of a spectrum rammed together (with a little bit of tartan print).
5. What’s your songwriting process?
Jordan wrestles with an instrument, records it and Billy turns it, alchemy like, into what we believe to be great music.
6. If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
Jordan: I’d love to see a wax cylinder revival. What about you Billy?
Billy: I’d like to see more up and coming bands given big opportunities. Or people being more open to something different… like wax cylinders.
7. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?
That’s a tough one, some songs are about addiction, some about past mistakes, one is about a fictional man who is sarcastically arguing with his wife. Other songs aren’t about anything specific, they’re just made of words that taste nice when you sing them.
8. A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls
Q: How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
A: about 4kg.
What is one thing you believed to be true for much longer than you care to admit?
Jordan: I thought that Julius Caesar invented and described the Caesar salad on his death bed.
Billy: That X-Men belong to DC and not Marvel. Only found out I was wrong this year. Got my nerd card revoked.
