Renowned for their engineering excellence and meticulous craftsmanship, MYKITA and RIMOWA are pleased to present new eyewear designs for their HERITAGE and VISOR series, including an archetypal round shape and a slim wraparound shield.
The latest MYKITA | RIMOWA collection reunites Nina Hoss and Leon Dame in a campaign titled the Rehearsal, a playful study of character and transformation. Set in a stripped-back rehearsal room, both creative leads take on two roles within a short dialogue, with a change of sunglasses marking the shift from one character to the next. Through close portraits, jump cuts, and subtle changes in light and background, the film places the eyewear at the centre of the performance – revealing how a single design can alter expression, attitude and presence.
Driven by a shared commitment to lightweight construction and enduring design, MYKITA and RIMOWA continue to build upon their German manufacturing expertise with the new additions further elevating their collaborative eyewear collection.
Joining the HERITAGE series, the MR007 models in Silver and Black introduce a perfectly rounded silhouette to the line’s archetypal sunglass forms. Combining lightweight stainless steel construction with anodised aluminium rings, the design expands the collection with a timeless shape that highlights the material expertise shared by both brands. In addition, the existing MR006 classic teardrop aviator model is now launching in a monochromatic Black colourway.
With the MR008 model, the VISOR concept evolves with a slimmer interpretation of the ultra-light shield design. Featuring the collection’s specially developed toric lens construction and distinctive MYLON® shield clip, the new model offers a streamlined expression and maintains the wraparound coverage, as well as the technical performance that define the series. the new Cashmere Silver colourway, paired with a Shadow Silver shield, further reinforces the precision-driven aesthetic of the line, introducing a refined monochromatic look inspired by industrial materials and contemporary mobility. Now also available for the MR005 aviator shield.
Developed in collaboration between Cologne and Berlin and handcrafted at MYKITA HAUS, the new styles join the existing shapes from earlier MYKITA and RIMOWA releases, emphasising the collection’s dedication to iconic design. Each pair comes with a certificate of authenticity, reflecting the exceptional craftsmanship and enduring integrity that unite both brands.
