Mustang presents True Sounds – True Freedom campaign

The German denim brand Mustang proudly presents its new campaign: “TRUE SOUNDS – TRUE FREEDOM”. The campaign celebrates the inextricable connection between music and freedom and portrays inspiring personalities from various areas of entertainment and the music scene who share their individual stories and perspectives on true freedom.

The protagonists of the campaign – Riccardo, Greta, Borja and the indie band Mola – embody the essence of authenticity and freedom through their music and lifestyle. Together with them, Mustang celebrates moments of true freedom in which we can be completely ourselves and feel the rhythm of our lives.

Riccardo Simonetti, entertainer, activist and also a passionate lover of the 90s music scene, is the face of „TRUE SOUNDS – TRUE FREEDOM“. Although he is not a musician himself, music shapes a significant part of his life:

“Music is my ultimate source of inspiration. I’m the one who pauses the song at the red light and doesn’t press play again until the light turns green and I can keep running. When the right song plays, a film plays in my head in which I am the main actor and shape the events myself. For me this is the ultimate feeling of freedom. In my opinion, music has the power to connect generations and bring people together, regardless of social and social background. The right song can unite people who have little else in common other than their love of music and the feelings they associate with it. At concerts you see how different people are united by their shared passion for music. This is something our society can learn a lot from.”

In collaboration with Mustang, he styled a unique unisex denim outfit consisting of baggy jeans, a band t-shirt and an oversized denim jacket with removable fringe. The jacket contains a personal dedication from Riccardo on the inside:

For Riccardo, fashion is a language that expresses itself before speaking: “I love my clothes and the memories I can associate with them. With the Mustang styles, I wanted to style garments that are inspired by my life, but in which the wearers can also collect many beautiful memories – they are unisex pieces. That’s why they should be convertible, like the removable fringes on the denim jacket. Denim as a material is super durable and usually lasts a lifetime. I hope that people who wear this jacket will one day look back and say: Wow, I have so many memories with this!”

The young aspiring singer and songwriter Greta brings a breath of fresh air to the music industry and to Mustang’s „TRUE SOUNDS – TRUE FREEDOM“ campaign. Growing up with a composer as a father, music has always been an integral part of her life. She travels around the world in her van world and is inspired by new places where she can fully enjoy the freedom of life. In her songs, which now reach thousands of people, she combines experiences, past adventures and her personal thoughts on freedom Having creative freedom, expressing myself through my music, being present in the moment and maintaining both physical and mental health – that is true freedom for me.”

Borja Catanesi, a talented street performer and guitarist, embodies freedom, individuality and a sense of adventure – values ​​that define Mustang and that fit perfectly with „TRUE SOUNDS – TRUE FREEDOM“. He travels around the world, delighting people with his music in the open air and does not strive for great success on the stages of this world. For Borja, true freedom means: “…that I can move anywhere with my music and that it enables me to connect with people wherever I go – by bringing them to the world Making them dance, enjoy my music and smile is what I love the most.”

The band Mola and Mustang are a match made in heaven. Both have reinvented themselves over the years and embody the guiding principles of freedom, individuality and self-determination. Get out of the comfort zone and into adventure is the motto, uniting the two worlds of the band Mola and the denim brand. “True freedom for us as a band is just jumping in our van, driving to the festival and not knowing what’s going to happen. Being on stage, letting go and living in the moment gives us the maximum feelings of freedom,” says Mola.

On the occasion of the “TRUE SOUNDS – TRUE FREEDOM” campaign, Mustang is cooperating with Lollapalooza this year and is looking forward to allowing visitors to immerse themselves in a specially designed Mustang area on September 7th and 8th, 2024. There, the vibe of the brand’s guiding principles – freedom, individuality and self-determination – can be experienced as part of the festival.
