MAX APOLLO presents new video for ‚Pressure‘

Two years have passed since MAX APOLLO unleashed his debut album „In Absolute Silence“ with a bang. It didn’t take long for MAX APOLLO to gain the attention of the media – songs like „Fever“ and „A Million Drums“ enjoyed a lot of airplay on Swiss radio stations and even made it into various commercials as well as the German Bundesliga as opening track for Borussia Mönchengladbach. The 23 year old artist – accompanied by his four-piece band – also knows how to convince his audience with his energy driven live shows and thus managed to sell out numerous gigs and scored support slots for Pete Doherty (X-TRA) or Hecht (tour support).

Now MAX APOLLO is back with new material. In April, he already surprised with the dreamy single ‚Plain White Shirt‘ sounding more mature and sophisticated than his early stuff. His new single ‚Pressure‘ takes a slightly different tone and combines the classic MAX APOLLO pop rock sound with elements of soul and even gospel. The astonishing vocal performance on the track as well as its multi-faceted sound – which also includes saxophone, piano and strings – is a perfect example for the creative output that MAX APOLLO has amassed throughout the last couple of years.

MAX APOLLO explains the song as follows:
“To be caught up in routine, dwelling in cycles of repetition, accompanied by the static feeling of remaining stagnant – we all know this. Especially now, in a time when we are all urged to spend a lot of time at home. ‘Pressure’ is an ode to this routine, but even more to breaking out of it. Starting as an inert mantra of enduring everyday routine – resulting in an auditive unleashing.”
