1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to sip on while they listen to your new music?
Thank you so much for the interview! Ooo, I think something fun and flirty. A Porn Star Martini for those who drink or a Shirley Temple for those who don’t! Fruity, fresh, and just the right amount of sweet, like my new song.
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
My new song and video, “Fun,” is out now! I am so excited that it came out in time for summer. It is a song for late night drives and dancing around your room. I wrote it about wanting just one more night with an ex, where you forget what went wrong and just embrace the beauty.
3. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)
I believe mermaids once existed! Maybe they are extinct now but I’m convinced they were real. The ocean is still largely unexplored and we discover new sea creatures all the time. So why not believe that something as magical as mermaids once swam among us?
4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
I’d say my music feels like a mix of Tom Ford era Gucci and vintage Levi’s. It’s bold, heartfelt, a little glamorous but still raw and real. Every video and song is a statement. I put a lot of love into the visuals too. Everything is really thought out and visually lush, like a little world you can step into!
5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?
I just want to make music that feels authentic. I write from real, raw moments and I don’t sugarcoat anything. Every song comes from something I’ve actually felt. I want to connect with people and I think the best way to do that is by being completely honest!
6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?
I was really athletic growing up and played pretty much every sport. I still love sports and try to stay active whenever I can. It’s always been a big part of my life!
7. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!
- I write all my own music!
- Creating music videos is one of my favorite parts of the process. The visuals have tobe epic.
- I only work with female music video directors because I have my B.A. in Gender and Women’s Studies, and that’s one way I honor it through my work.
- Love is what inspires me most, but certain cities fuel my creativity. Los Angeles and London set my mind on fire!
- I’m a true music lover/fan. I listen to everything, and I’m constantly inspired by other artists and sounds.
8. The road so far…. who or what was your biggest support??
My mom is my biggest support! She is always apart of my projects in some way. She has a great eye and even made the dress that you see on the “Fun” cover!
9. What does success look like to you as an artist?
For me, success is about someone hearing a song of mine and feeling understood. If my music can make someone feel something, that’s everything. I also want to look back one day and know I stayed true to myself the whole time. Creatively, emotionally, and visually.
