KARIM PANZETTA New Single “Lost Me” + Exclusive Interview

1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers, what kind of drink would you recommend to sip on while they listen to your new music?

An ice-cold Pepsi Max. I don’t drink alcohol. There are enough questionable decisions in the lyrics already.

2. Please give us an update new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!

I’m releasing new music every two weeks. There’s a lot I want people to hear, and I like being able to follow one song with something that shows a different side of me.

I’m also sharing more of my life on YouTube. Music is a huge part of it, but you’re not just watching me sit in a studio. There’s a person behind the songs, and I want people to get to know him.

3. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which harmless theory would you wish were true?

That dogs can talk, but they’ve all agreed not to because they don’t want jobs. I have dogs, and honestly, I’d respect the decision. Although I’d have a few questions for them.

4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

Probably luxury mixed with streetwear. Something sharp, but not stiff. I wouldn’t tie it to one brand it’s more about how you wear it.

My music has that contrast too. The production can be polished, but the feelings underneath aren’t always so well behaved.

5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

A lot of my songs live somewhere between wanting someone and knowing better. Attraction, pride, jealousy, heartbreak and those moments when you know exactly what you should do, but that doesn’t make you want to do it.

I’m not trying to make myself the good guy in every song. Sometimes you’re hurt. Sometimes you hurt someone. Sometimes there’s real chemistry, but that still doesn’t make you right for each other. I’d rather be honest about those contradictions than give every song a neat little lesson.

6. Besides music, do you have any special talents?

I pick things up quickly, and I’m good at figuring things out. I’m curious about a lot of things, so I rarely stop at the first answer. But I’m also very comfortable saying, “I have absolutely no idea, explain it to me.” Being interested gets you further than trying to sound intelligent.

7. Name five things we should know about you as an artist.

  1. I write my own songs. The words have to feel like something I would actually say.
  2. I produce my own music. I also mix and master it myself, so I’m shaping the sound not just singing over it.
  3. I love contrast. A melody you want to sing with feelings you might not want to admit.
  4. I’m serious about the music, not about looking serious all the time. There’s room for a sense of humor.
  5. I’m aiming for the biggest stages. I’m not going to pretend the ambition is smaller than it is.

8. The road so far… who or what has been your biggest support?

My family, without question. This path can be very lonely. It can be hard to maintain friendships and relationships when so much of your time and energy goes into something other people might not fully understand.

You can really want this life and still find parts of it difficult. Both things can be true. My family is the most important thing in my life, and having their support means more to me than I can put into an interview answer.

9. A question you’d like to answer but have never been asked in an interview before—and your answer.

“What do you want people to stay for?”

A song might be the reason someone finds me. But I want them to stay because they connect with me—the voice, the personality, the sense of humor, whatever it is that makes them feel something.

That’s why I’m letting people see more than the finished record. I want them to be curious about what comes next.

I don’t want to be a song people remember and a name they forget.
