HANRO COOPERATES WITH DESIGNER ARTHUR ARBESSER

Traditional Austrian textile company HANRO is embarking on an exciting new chapter with the launch of HANRO atelier, a collaborative program designed to foster artistic partnerships. This platform will serve as a space for creative encounters with designers, artists, and visionaries who share HANRO’s commitment to quality, authenticity, and timeless aesthetics. The inaugural project for HANRO atelier is an exclusive unisex capsule collection developed in collaboration with internationally renowned Milanese fashion designer Arthur Arbesser. This highly anticipated collection will be unveiled during Milan Fashion Week, taking place from September 23 to 29, 2025. The launch will be celebrated with an exclusive event in Milan and a special in-store event in Vienna.

„With HANRO atelier, we are creating a space for creative encounters at an equal level,“ states Stephan Hohmann, HANRO Managing Director. „Arthur Arbesser’s distinct aesthetic and artistic signature align perfectly with our brand. This collaboration demonstrates the powerful impact of thoughtful design.“

Gender Inclusive Capsule Collection

The synergy between HANRO and Arthur Arbesser stems from a shared appreciation for meticulous craftsmanship, a refined sense of design aesthetics, and the belief that clothing transcends fleeting trends, serving as an expression of attitude, culture, and identity. This philosophy is beautifully reflected in the joint collection, which features modern interpretations of garments with clean, geometric shapes, subtle contrasts, and a luxurious feel. Arbesser’s expressive, often art-inspired design language harmoniously blends with HANRO’s iconic, understated elegance. This interplay creates a dynamic tension, injecting fresh perspectives into textile craftsmanship and giving it a prominent stage. The centerpiece of the 15-piece collection is a distinctive checkerboard pattern conceived by Arbesser, symbolizing order and creativity, structure and lightness – mirroring their shared design approach. The unisex capsule effortlessly combines comfort and style, offering pieces that are wearable, versatile, and timeless.

Austrian heritage, international stage

Adding another layer of depth to the collaboration is the shared Austrian heritage of both the brand and the designer. HANRO is based in Vorarlberg, while Arbesser grew up in Vienna and now lives and works in Milan. This connection to their roots, combined with an international outlook, lends a unique dimension to their creative partnership – a dialogue between two worlds reflected in their dedication to quality and aesthetics.

With this debut HANRO atelier edition, the brand reaffirms its position as a bridge between tradition and modernity, cultivating a space where design becomes a vibrant cultural exchange.

The collection will be available in select HANRO stores in Munich, Vienna, Zurich, Rome, New York and Beverly Hills, as well as on the HANRO online store.
