As the latest addition to the iconic MR-G line, G-SHOCK today celebrates the launch of the MRG-B5000HT-1DR. Combining the iconic shape of the G-SHOCK 5000 series with the traditional Japanese Tsuiki hammering technique*, the new MR-G combines impressive robustness with exceptional aesthetics. This special watch will be released in a limited edition of only 500 pieces worldwide.

The MRG-B5000HT-1DR captures the iconic shape of the very first G-SHOCK and adds new depth with its intricate structural details. The bezel and bracelet are individually hand-hammered by a master of the Tsuiki technique, impressively demonstrating the aesthetic power of this shock-resistant watch.
The Tsuiki-finished bezel and bracelet are made of DAT55G, a special titanium alloy developed in Japan that is three times harder than pure titanium. The finely chiseled patterns are created by the unique touch of Tsuiki master Kazuya Watanabe, whose hand-held chisel and precise hammering give each piece its own unique structure. The silver-gray case, in „Oborogin“ coloring, inspired by traditional sword jewelry, receives its characteristic luster from a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating. Screws and pushers in a deep, lustrous copper tone add sophisticated accents to the watch’s expressive overall design.
The new MR-G also impresses with its functionality: When paired with a smartphone via Bluetooth®, it can connect to online time servers and update daylight saving time and time zones. This fully automated watch displays the exact time anywhere in the world, making it absolutely reliable. And thanks to sustainable solar technology, time-consuming battery changes are a thing of the past.
