CON THE ARTIST – „MONEY (on my mind)“ + Exclusive Interview

1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to zip on while they listen to your new music?

I’m not much of a drinker, but I’ve been vibing with electrolyte drinks lately—ROAR’s been my jam. Think of it like hydrating for the soul while you hydrate your body. Maybe sip on one of those, or, you know, a mysterious green juice that makes you question your life choices.

2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!

Yeah, I’ve got an EP dropping in November. I’m excited to package them all up cause it’s like giving my songs a little home on the internet. Plus, I’m currently on tour with Alyssa Reid, opening for her across Canada, and it’s been a blast! We just played a sold-out show in Toronto, and now we’re hitting Ottawa, Vancouver (where I used to live—super excited about that), Calgary, and Edmonton next. 2025 is shaping up to be a fiery one with more touring and new material—maybe even a new haircut if I’m feeling rebellious.

3. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)

Right now, I’m obsessed with the theory that Beyoncé’s secretly an evil queen. And apparently, all the other female artists are thanking her to stay on her good side. Do I believe it? Who knows. But I’m here for the drama, popcorn in hand. Google it… it goes deep.

4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

Fashion? I’m not really the guy you’d turn to for that. My girlfriend’s basically my stylist. People say I pull off a ‘90s dad vibe, which I’m guessing is just a polite way of saying I dress like I’m about to mow the lawn or barbecue something.

5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

My songs are mostly about getting older and how your friend group starts to look like a scene from “Where’s Waldo?”—just fewer and harder to find. I think we romanticize the past too much, and I’m here writing about the stuff we don’t always say out loud—like how weird it is to grow apart from people.

6. Besides music, do you have any special talents?

I can build skateboards from scratch. The whole thing—cut the wood, glue it, shape it, sand it down, throw some art on it. But here’s the kicker: I can’t kickflip to save my life. So, I guess I’m just really good at creating cool things I can’t fully use. Kind of like IKEA furniture.

7. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!

Five things? Alright:

1. Reality TV is like kryptonite for me—I hate it but it pulls me in every time so I avoid it at all costs.

2. I’m half Polish, with a sprinkle of Portuguese and a dash of Afrikaans—basically the world’s most underrated spice rack.

3. I can’t stand pasta. Yeah, I know.

4. I’m a total baby when it comes to scary movies. If there’s a jump scare, I’m already under the couch.

5. I have zero formal music training. If I closed my eyes I wouldn’t know a major chord from a minor one. In context it’s just gotta sound right, and that’s all that matters to me.

8. The road so far…. who or what was your biggest support??

Apart from my parents and my partner, I’ve gotta give props to Chad and the crew at WAX Records. They took my scattered dreams and put them into slingshot and helping me pull this thing as far back as I can. I’ve loved working with them all so far and can’t wait to continue.

9. A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls

A question I’ve never been asked? „If you could design a theme park, what would it be?“ Easy: Nacho Libre Land. Everything would be nacho-themed, from the rides to the food to the decor. And yes, there’d be an endless supply of chips and queso.
