For Fall – Winter 24, CAMPERLAB is premiering a campaign for its unisex ready-to- wear and footwear collection, featuring intimate portraits of a unique set of four protagonists, seen through the lens of photographer and director Jordan Hemingway.
New Jersey -born, London -based Hemingway is recognized for the raw honesty in his shots that defy the traditional beauty stereotypes. Looking to the human for inspiration in his work, Hemingway’s photographs feel simultaneously touching and brutal, while seamlessly blending the gritty with the sharp to create captivating imagery that explores both vulnerability and vibrancy.
The four distinguishable faces featured in the campaign consist of Berlin’s own Sven Marquardt, a cultural icon as well as an artist and photographer in his own right; L.A.- based musician Duckwrth, known for his genre-bending sound; Belgian make-up artist Inge Grognard, a longtime collaborator of CAMPERLAB, known for her crucial contribution to the rise and radical vision of the fashion scene in Antwerp; and Paris- based heroine Raya Martigny, an unwavering force recognized from catwalks and beyond.
Taking its place in front of hand-painted backgrounds in bold monochrome shades, the campaign focuses on this season’s key styles, from a flaming new version of the brand’s classic Venga cowboy boot in distressed suede and the signature Candiani denim styles with swerving trompe l’oeil patterns, to the embossed croc-effect leather ensembles and intarsia knitwear with more than just a few loose threads.
