What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
techno-vernacular bricolage
Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?
I write songs about the future of humanity, in the age of human reproducibility, hyper-capitalism, and the late Anthropocene, caught in the fatal simultaneity of progress, love, and freedom on one hand, and their opposite on the other. But I try to package it into small, consumable songs and stories, so that people are gently drawn under its spell instead of immediately shutting it out.
Beside music, do you have any special talents?
Cooking simple healthy meals
Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!
As an artist, I embody the Robin Hood theory, the Trojan horse theory, the no-end theory. I’ve forgotten number four. Number five: my name refers to an important but unfortunately rather unknown feminist, Anita Augspurg.
The road so far…. who or what was your biggest support??
I think it’s my inability to live an ordinary life, my quiet resistance to doing the same thing the same way, again and again, the strange black holes and undertows folded into my own history, my refusal to become a proper man — and, growing out of all of it, a certain scattered dreaminess that keeps me from ever exploiting any of this to its fullest capitalist potential.
A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in aninterviewbefore?! + Answer pls
Q: Why do you still write songs if machines can do it faster and better?
A: Because they can’t.
