Widely known for his work with Caribou, Frank Ocean, The xx, Glass Animals, Arlo Parks, Marika Hackman, Erasure and more, Wrench will work in partnership with Pony Music Group to introduce new artists across a wide spectrum of genres.

The first signing to Studio Bruxo is Tel-Aviv based artist ZOHARA – and today she releases new single „Sing A Song“.

Creating forward-thinking, futuristic music that’s utterly unadulterated and uncompromising, ZOHARA’s music represents the spirit of merging cultures – her Moroccan roots and the psychedelic diversity of Tel Aviv.

New single „Sing A Song“ represents the idea that ZOHARA holds the key to her own happiness. Fusing samples of Moroccan music with contemporary pop-tinged production, „Sing A Song“ marks a confident stride forward for ZOHARA, under the guidance of David Wrench.

Commenting on the formation of the label, Wrench said: „Studio Bruxo is a way for me to work with new unsigned artists and to provide a platform for them to release their music. I hope it will develop into a launchpad for diverse exciting new artists across all genres. ZOHARA had sent me her music a few years ago, and it immediately struck me as being unique and special. When the opportunity arose to curate a label she was the obvious first choice. She is a really talented producer and a wonderful singer. I was immediately struck with how her music combines both various influences not often heard together but was also really catchy. When she first sent me the demo of Sing A Song it was stuck in my head for days.“

Speaking more on the lyrical themes within „Sing A Song“, ZOHARA said: „In the last few years, I’ve been going through a long emotional process, during which I suffered from depression, but emerged a much happier person. I tried to create a piece of music that reflects this emotional transition.“

A messy yet coherent, scattered, crystallised and formidable debut – „Sing A Song“ is the start of an exciting new chapter for ZOHARA and David Wrench. „Sing A Song“ is out now via Studio Bruxo.
