With the new Secrid x Automobili Lamborghini Upcycled Leather Slimwallet+, the Dutch brand Secrid is collaborating with the Italian luxury car manufacturer Automobili Lamborghini for the first time. The focus is not only on design and innovation but, above all, on the repurposing of high-quality materials and the responsible use of resources.
For this collection, Secrid utilizes leather left over from the production of Automobili Lamborghini vehicle interiors. Although materials are used with the utmost precision and efficiency, the production process generates smaller leather scraps that can no longer be used for vehicle manufacturing. Secrid repurposes these high-quality leather remnants, crafting them into durable Slimwallets.

Secrid’s Approach: Longevity Over Fast-Paced Trends
The final assembly of the Slimwallet+ takes place in sheltered workshops in the Netherlands. There, the product is put together, combining the reuse of high-quality materials with a social mission. Individuals who often face significant challenges in the traditional labor market are actively involved in production, contributing their craftsmanship to every single wallet.
For Secrid, this collaboration is a logical extension of the values the brand has championed for years: developing products designed for longevity, functionality, and the conscious use of resources. A significant portion of the value creation takes place within the company’s own production network in the Netherlands, where social responsibility and local manufacturing are firmly embedded in the corporate philosophy.
The result is a collection that blends craftsmanship, character, and sustainability. As the available leather scraps vary by production batch, the color of each wallet remains a surprise until it is unpacked. Each piece is therefore unique, telling its own story shaped by the materials from which it was crafted.

This partnership also marks the first collaboration featuring Secrid’s latest Cardprotector+. An evolution of the award-winning aluminum core, it incorporates a newly developed auto-lock mechanism and, for the first time, accommodates metal cards.
Since the launch of the original Cardprotector, Secrid has aimed to combine design, functionality, and durability. The collaboration with Automobili Lamborghini adds another dimension to this approach: the creative repurposing of a material that has already played a part in a different design story.
