At the heart of Ten c’s identity lies a material that was not created to remain unchanged: OJJ – Original Japanese Jersey. Manufactured exclusively for Ten c in Japan and then cut, sewn, and garment-dyed in Italy, OJJ combines technical durability with an exceptionally versatile feel.
Through mercerization and a double dyeing process at high temperatures, the originally lightweight jersey becomes denser and gains structure, elasticity, and strength. At the same time, the material reacts to its environment: it becomes softer in high humidity and firmer in dry air and heat. Over time, it increasingly adapts to the wearer and develops a character all its own.
Much like Japanese raw denim, OJJ visibly bears the marks of life. Creases, color nuances, and changes in the surface become part of the garment, creating a unique patina with every wear. No two pieces evolve exactly the same way. At the same time, OJJ is wind-resistant and water-repellent, combining functionality with a deliberately dynamic aging process.
For the F/W 2026/27 collection “The Urban Explorer,” Ten c once again puts its iconic material front and center and continues to expand its possibilities. In addition to garment-dyed OJJ and lined versions, the collection features OJJ Ultralight 9 oz with Primaloft insulation, as well as the new OJJ Rubber Ultralight, which is completely waterproof thanks to taped inner seams.
OJJ thus exemplifies Ten c’s philosophy: designing clothing not for a moment or a season, but for years—created to be worn, to evolve, and to become increasingly personal over time.
