1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to sip on while they listen to your new music?
I definitely recommend coconut water, straight from a tender coconut if you can acquire one! It’ll help keep you hydrated with all the dancing you’re about to do 🙂
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
I just dropped a new single called ‚Fanga‘ on Bonobo’s label, OUTLIER. I’ve got a few more records coming out with them this year, and I’m also working on some fire-sounding collabs with artists whom I can’t yet reveal. I’m also returning in a few weeks to play one of my favorite new festivals on the US East Coast, Showcation. All in all, it’s a very exciting time for my career.
3. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)
My favorite conspiracy theory is that mice are the most intelligent species in the world (followed by dolphins, and then humans), and that the Earth is actually a giant supercomputer they built to answer the ultimate question of life. Or wait… is that the plot of a famous book? 😉
4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
There’s a brand called My Morni, started and run by my friends Qasim and Hardik, that makes absolutely incredible pieces. Their vibrant, nature-inspired designs with gorgeous embroidery perfectly suit my music and performances.
Another amazing brand is Rah Sh*t Only by my good friend Rah, who sources sarees from India and Bangladesh and sews them into modern streetwear.
You’ll find me wearing pieces from both of these brands at my performances whenever I can!
5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?
The connecting thread between my songs is the concept of joy as an act of rebellion. Through my music, I aim to inspire confidence; connection to self, nature and community; surrender and acceptance; and the courage to face life’s difficulties and find happiness through it all.
6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?
I wouldn’t call it a special talent, but I do absolutely love to dance. I’ve studied some West African and Afrofusion dance, and would love to dive deeper into these styles. I also would love to learn partner dance styles like Salsa and Bachata.
7. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!
1. I began my music journey playing the alto saxophone in elementary school
2. Before becoming an electronic artist, I played drum set for years in all kinds of bands. From 2013-2017 I played in a funk-punk band called Atomic Walrus, which was one of the most fun eras of my journey as a musician
3. My artist name „Narasimha“ means „lion-man“ and refers to the fourth avatar of Vishnu in the Hindu mythology.
4. In 2025 I took a big leap of faith and solo travelled for one year through 11 countries, most notably through West Africa and India. The music I made while living in Guinea and Gambia ended up getting signed by Chris Lake and Bonobo, which completely changed my career and life.
5. I’m now diving into melodic and harmonic ear training to expand my musical skill, and I’m excited to see how I incorporate these skills into future music I create.
8. The road so far…. who or what was your biggest support??
One of my biggest supporters is my friend Tyler, who encouraged me to take my 2025 „Hero’s Journey“ nomad trip and guided me the whole way. He has completely changed my life, and I am so grateful for his wisdom, his friendship, and his unwavering belief in my potential.
9. A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls
Question: What is the number one piece of advice you give to anybody inspired by what you do?
Answer: Practice somatic therapy with a trained professional. It takes a lot of courage, but if you are open to the practice, it will heal you and transform your entire life.
