1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers—what kind of drink would you recommend they sip on while listening to your new music?
For me, the *Mexikaner* is a drink of resistance—spicy, delicious, red, and defiant—exactly like my EP, *Gegen Nazis* [Against Nazis].
2. Please give us an update on what’s new—new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
Hello, I’m Nadu, and I make political German indie-pop. My EP, *Gegen Nazis*, comes out in October; two songs have already been released. Also this year, my music is making a tour stop in Vienna, which I’m really excited about. Additionally, I’ll be in Hamburg performing as a support act for Ezé Wendtoin, who writes socially critical songs about racism and migration.
3. We live in times rife with conspiracy theories. Which—harmless—theory do you wish were actually true? (For example, dinosaurs living inside the Earth, or E.T. living in a house in California.)
I still believe that anything that happens after 2 a.m. is usually a bad idea—and that you can become „The Blitz,“ just like they say in *How I Met Your Mother*. 😀
4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
Second-hand clothing! 😀
It makes the world a better place—just like my music.
5. Tell us more about your songs! The topics! The message!?
Through my music, I want to bring society together, address important issues, and ensure that everyone has a good time while doing so. Everyone should feel welcome and seen.
6. Besides music, do you have any special talents?
Poetry slam, comedy, and hosting my own queer-feminist shows all across Germany.
7. Name 5 things we should all know about you as an artist?!
* Authentic and genuine
* Full of passion and energy
* Close to the people and their stories
* Creatively moving between rap, spoken word, and music
* Clear stance and speaking your mind
8. The road so far… who or what was your biggest support?
My mother.
9. A question you’d like to answer, but have never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer please
If your music had a warning signal, what would it be?
If you listen to it for too long, you’ll become a feminist and queer.
