Mild Minds – „TEARDROPS“ + Exclusive Interview

1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to sip on while they listen to your new music?

Mescal Negroni – simple drink with lots of notes.

2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!

New album is coming in February, it’s called Gemini. Also the name of the next single. It’s a reference back to the late 90s and early 2000s, taking parts of underground genres at the time like uk garage, rave music and r&b. But spinning it through a modern and more emotional lens.

3. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)

I can’t think of any that I’d wish were true. It would be pretty insane if Epstein was a Israeli Mossad agent collecting compromising material on powerful people.

4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

So hard, I really jump around from clean and simple to rough around the edges. I’d like to imagine APC, clean cut and classic, but it’s probably maybe more like a Zara collab with an Australian designer haha.

5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

Usually doing one of two things, either exploring production aethsetics in emotional dance music or putting a personal message into the song. When it gets personal I often explore bittersweet, melancholy moments we all go through.

6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?

Not super special, but I have a few more technical skills, thus try to be hands on in all the design and video elements when possible.

7. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!

I like to ride that line between melancholy and upbeat.
I love all genres of dance music and try to incorporate it all.

This project is my second established project and an outlet to explore completely new things.

Design, photography, fashion, art are huge inspirations to my music.

I intend to do this project til im 50 hahah

8. The road so far…. who or what was your biggest support??

Lost of amazing moments, when it comes to live my first two headline shows in LA and SF were crazy special. They both sold out and connected really deeply with the crowd. Also loved working with FFC & Ninja tune on these releases.

9. A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls

q. Do you feel lucky punk?

a. Yes. So frikken lucky.
