MIDO Multifort 8 Two Crowns – Inspired by Technometry

The perfect blend of TECHNOLOGY and GEOMETRY: With the TECHNOMETRY, MIDO reinvents the codes and catapults the Multifort into a new dimension. This visionary sporty watch—shown here in deep blue and steel—features an octagonal bezel and clean, powerful lines, reviving a unique MIDO function: the rotating flange, activated by a second crown at 2 o’clock. Time, materials, and watchmaking expertise blend together in elegance and precision.

Thanks to MIDO’s exceptional expertise, the Multifort 8 Two Crowns fully expresses its avant-garde aesthetic and unique character, which it owes to its strong, distinctive codes. A matte blue dial decorated with horizontal lines, an octagonal bezel on a classic case, and two octagonal crowns, also in blue. A nod to diving watches, the rotating flange, activated by the crown at 2 o’clock, allows timekeeping without risk of error. A technical feat that perfectly illustrates MIDO’s watchmaking innovation and timeless vision. This feature first entered the brand’s range in 2002 with the All Dial Diver and later in 2013 with the Multifort Two Crowns. At the heart of this unwaveringly distinctive watch beats a latest-generation Swiss mechanical movement that measures time with precision. The Caliber 72 boasts remarkable reliability, thanks to a power reserve of up to 72 hours and a high-tech NivachronTM balance spring. With the Multifort 8 Two Crowns, there’s always more to explore—the eight sides of its bezel symbolize the number infinity.

Geometry of Details

The new Multifort 8 Two Crowns is crafted from the finest materials and exudes confidence and superior strength. On the finely crafted, matte blue dial, the beautiful reliefs of a horizontal ornamentation play with the light. The round indices, and those trapezoidal at the quarter-hours, in negative form, create a three-dimensional effect, just like the dial border. Against this intense background, all the white indicators stand out. Super-LumiNova® ensures perfect legibility of the indices as well as the hour and minute hands. The date is visible at 3 o’clock – extremely practical for everyday use. An inner rotating bezel completes this efficient display. The flange with 60-minute graduations is operated by a crown at 2 o’clock and allows for timekeeping. This rare, diving-watch-inspired feature makes a comeback at MIDO. The sporty face of the watch is protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on both sides – guaranteeing optimal legibility.

But it’s the bezel of the Multifort 8 Two Crowns that reveals its true uniqueness. It’s particularly finely crafted and features eight polished facets, whose satin finish creates beautiful contrasts. The luster of the stainless steel continues throughout the case. The two blue PVD-coated crowns on the sides emphasize the intense color of the dial. The color harmony continues with the blue rubber strap, whose center features reliefs that create beautiful reflections.

Precision Technology

The Multifort 8 Two Crowns impresses down to its finest gears, pulsing to the rhythm of Caliber 72, renowned for its exceptional slimness. This meticulously crafted and decorated, state-of-the-art Swiss movement can be admired through the transparent caseback. It offers an extended power reserve of up to 72 hours and remarkable precision. A Nivachron™ hairspring guarantees exceptional resistance to magnetism and shock, ensuring exemplary reliability for the challenges of everyday life… and the future.

The Multifort 8 Two Crowns is also available in a steel version with a black dial and a bracelet whose geometric surfaces also create numerous reflections.
