In its 50th year, MCM continues to expand its creative universe with the Autumn / Winter 2026 collection and campaign, telling the story of MCM characters shaped by character, presence, and the emotional texture of modern life. Moving beyond seasonal storytelling into a more intimate form of world-building, the brand introduces a new chapter that feels instinctive, cinematic, and quietly alive.
Anchoring the season is Domestic Geometry, a short film directed by Lucio Castro, the Argentinian filmmaker whose work has been presented at both Cannes and the Berlinale. Set within the world of the MCM Haus, a family comes together under one roof, led by a quietly commanding maternal figure portrayed by renowned French actress Nathalie Richard. Intimate, visually precise, and gently comedic, the film follows a son returning from abroad with gifts chosen in response to shared family memories, each object quietly revealing the subtle affections, tensions, and rituals that shape domestic life. With his understated yet deeply evocative storytelling, Castro brings a singular sensitivity to the project, elevating the everyday through emotional nuance and a striking attention to detail.

Extending this narrative into still imagery, the campaign is photographed by Luna Conte, an acclaimed photographer known for balancing documentary sensibility with imagined narrative. Through compositions that blur documentary observation with imagined narrative, Conte creates images that invite reflection on how memories are perceived, constructed, and preserved.
“Domestic Geometry was imagined as a quiet, intimate study of family life,” explains Lucio Castro, “Where small gestures and unspoken rituals reveal deeper layers of affection, memory, and belonging. I was drawn to the idea of objects being carriers of meaning — moving through the film not just as accessories, but as part of the story’s language.”
Bags are, in fact, this emotional anchor of the film, shown as pieces of exchange and memory that define each character’s presence on screen. The Pina line – originally a heritage collection but now refreshed for 2026 – is positioned as a central leather story this season, showcasing silhouettes trimmed with diamond- inspired studs. In celebration of MCM’s 50th anniversary, it also speaks to the Haus’s icons reimagined for today, making a clear reference to the dialogue between past and future that defines this milestone. New shapes, again inspired by MCM from the 80s, include the rounded Tambourine, while a standout piece – the Dia shoulder bag – debuts in quilted leather in black and a lustrous gold tone. Classic MCM icons, including the Liz, Ella, and Tracy, are refreshed through updated materials like Italian recycled nylon and finishes including Cinnamon Visetos.

Autumn / Winter 2026 expands the collection further across ready-to-wear, footwear, and accessories with a focus on versatility, transformable details, and bold color stories that support movement and everyday life. Retro-futuristic patterns and graphic treatments bring playful energy, while the assortment is styled through a mismatched approach, creating looks that feel personal, lived-in, and intentionally non- uniform. Together, the full offering reinforces this season as a collection of enduring icons designed to feel modern, functional, and distinctively MCM.
Set within a lived-in, quietly refined home where warmth and subtle imperfection coexist, the new MCM campaign captures the emotional atmosphere at the center of its collection. The full campaign video will be available on mcmworldwide.com, starting from June 15th.
