Luís Carvalho’s FW 26/27 collection, is born in a silent territory between what has been and what is remembered as having been — a space where time blurs outlines and where memories reinvent themselves between the real and the imagined. Not always clear, often distorted, the recollections emerge as emotional fragments that return with new forms and new interpretations.
The silhouettes evoke this duality between presence and absence: cinched waists that hug the body contrast with structured shoulders or dropped armholes, suggesting a carefree, almost instinctive attitude. A delicate tension is established between control and abandon, between rigor and freedom—as if the pieces carried the gentle weight of the past, oscillating between what is remembered and what is reinvented.
Details become guardians of stories. Pockets hold dreams and secrets, small pleats trace a timeline on the body, drapes flow like memories that insist on returning, and bands envelop the silhouette in a gesture that is simultaneously protective and revealing.
The materiality is based on the tradition of tailoring and timeless twills, while jacquards with wrinkled surfaces emerge as tactile metaphors — fabrics with their own memory, marked by a lived, almost inherited beauty. The color palette reflects this serene nostalgia: a base of gray and black tones, complemented by beige and white, creates a visual silence interrupted only by the intense and pulsating blood-red, reminding us that all memory is also emotion.
Because remembering is a precious gesture, the collection proudly affirms its partnership with the century-old Topázio. The jewelry reveals itself through the unexpected reinterpretation of everyday objects, transformed into pieces that inhabit the border between function and poetry — just like memories, familiar yet surprising.
And because no memory is built alone, this show is a celebration of those who have accompanied the designer from day one — a chosen, supportive, and indispensable family.
