G-SHOCK presents two exclusive anniversary editions of the MR-G series—the MRG-B2100HS and MRG-B2100HR—thereby expanding its premium line of shock-resistant watches. These models combine traditional Japanese craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology, honoring the 30th anniversary of the MR-G series.
Central to these models is a collaboration with renowned Japanese metal-leaf artist Hiroto Rakusho. A Kyoto-based master of traditional craftsmanship, Rakusho personally finishes each dial by hand. The dials‘ three-dimensional design draws inspiration from *Kigumi*, a traditional Japanese woodworking technique used to create complex structures without the use of nails or metal fasteners.
Two dials, two interpretations of Japanese craftsmanship
MRG-B2100HR-1 with platinum-leaf-finished dial

MRG-B2100HS-1 with gold-leaf-finished dial

Limited to 800 pieces worldwide, the MRG-B2100HR features a dial finished by Hiroto Rakusho using finely powdered platinum leaf. This artisanal craftsmanship creates subtle light reflections and delicate light-and-shadow gradations, making each timepiece a unique, one-of-a-kind creation.
The MRG-B2100HS is even more exclusive, with only 18 pieces produced worldwide. Its dial, hand-finished with exquisite gold leaf, creates warm golden reflections and exceptional depth. The watch comes in a presentation box specially designed for the 30th anniversary; this box is also finished with gold leaf and bears Hiroto Rakusho’s personal signature.
