FERRAGAMO COLLABORATES WITH PORSCHE FOR THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF PORSCHE ITALIA

Ferragamo and Porsche, two brands that represent – each in their own field – excellence in design, in the creation of products of the highest quality and attention to detail, are collaborating to create two exclusive models to mark the 40th anniversary of Porsche Italia.
The protagonists are a Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS and a Taycan 4S – offered exclusively for the Italian market – and created by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur.

The collaboration concerns both the interiors and exteriors of cars, the main feature of which is the exclusive “Blusogno” color, a shade of blue that turns slightly violet in sunlight and already used by Ferragamo for some RTW collections and for the leather of the iconic Hug bag. It is an intense blue, luminous and vivid at the same time, a shade whose exciting beauty brings one closer to the dimension of dreams.

The body is also punctuated by white fine lines that emphasize its aerodynamics. Inside, white leather piping defines the seats, adding the sophisticated elegance of Made in Italy to the Porsche design. The “Blusogno” also adorns the GT sports steering wheel, the center console as well as the document folder and key pouch, and other interior details, both in the leather and hard paldao wood parts.

The wheel rims, also painted in “Blusogno”, are embellished with thin white hand-painted lines. In their center, the iconic Porsche crest is painted red in homage to Ferragamo’s signature color. The special edition also includes a customized car cover in the same color, with white piping, Porsche crest on the front and white Ferragamo lettering on the sides.

Salvatore Ferragamo and Ferry Porsche shared the same vision: both pioneers, they realized their dream by laying the foundations for a success story that continues to this day. Salvatore Ferragamo achieved fame in Hollywood by making custom-made shoes for movie stars. In 1927, the “Shoemaker of Dreams” returned to his homeland and settled in Florence. In 1948, Ferry Porsche realized his dream of building a sports ca with the 356 ‘No. 1’ Roadster. This model marked the beginning of a strong brand with products that are still highly sought after today.

“When Porsche asked Ferragamo to contribute to this anniversary, the main idea was to change as little as possible and focus on refined details. Because Porsche is already perfect,” said Leonardo Ferragamo, Chairman of Salvatore Ferragamo.

„The aim of this collaboration was to create an authentic and meaningful synergy between two iconic brands that both share the same values: design excellence, craftsmanship, and the courage to innovate. We wanted to tell an emotional story rooted in the idea of dreaming. My father Salvatore was known as “the Shoemaker of Dreams”, while Porsche continues to be driven by dreams.

„Our dream was to create something truly unique, that embodies the spirit that has guided us for the past forty years: Porsche style combined with Italian culture and aesthetics. That’s why we chose Ferragamo as a partner for this project – a brand with which we share values such as excellence of craftsmanship, timeless elegance and a tireless attention to detail,“ added Pietro Innocenti, CEO of Porsche Italia. “The collaboration with Ferragamo and the team at Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur team in Zuffenhausen has enabled us to implement in a way that is both authentic and forward-looking. These values will continue to inspire and guide us in the future.”
