Editorial: José Enrique López Ramírez – „To the universal Conquest“

With an impeccable career in the world of modeling for the past 11 years, the young man from Bayamo, José Enrique López Ramírez, makes his way on the international catwalks with the help of the famous agency Colby Management.

Through this alliance with the important American agency, the sought-after Puerto Rican model will be represented in New York, Miami and Los Angeles, which will open the doors to the international fashion world.

“What I once dreamed of today came true. I am more than happy and grateful for this great opportunity that will be a great blessing for my professional career. I appreciate the support of my manager in Puerto Rico, Javier Morales, for believing in my talent. This is another great triumph that I want to share with my Puerto Rican brothers,” said José López.

In addition, he added that „during this month of April I will be visiting the agency to attend several meetings with the team and I will also be in several important and cosmopolitan cities in the United States, to carry out several photo shoots.“

López was born in Bayamón and is the oldest of 3 siblings, raised by his mother, from a humble birth, in a public residential complex in the country. During his development he suffered from childhood obesity, bulimia, speech problems, bullying, situations that led him on multiple occasions to try to deprive himself of his life.

He started professional modeling in 2013, being one of the models with the greatest impact in International competitions. In 2014, he became Mr. Universe Puerto Rico, representing the Island internationally, reaching the “top 3”. in the competition. In 2015 he obtained the title of Mr. Puerto Rico Global, positioning himself in the “top 8”. In 2022 he obtained the title of Mr. Gay World, which led him to receive calls from multiple world-class photographers and agencies, which led him to work on important intercontinental advertising campaigns.

He currently represents the municipality of Río Grande, in the Mr. Beauty International P.R. contest, where he hopes to continue being a spokesperson for his platform “Body Dismorphia” in which he has been helping young people, including in suicide prevention.
