CROSS, HEADER, GOAL! ADIDAS X MCM X FC BAYERN DELIVER THE HATTRICK OF THE SEASON

MCM, the German luxury Haus, unveils a three-way collabora:on with adidas and FC Bayern to bring together sport, culture, and smart luxury. In the collec:on, premium leather goods draw on MCM’s new role as Official Travel Luggage Partner of the FC Bayern Women’s team, announced this past July, and translates the demands of interna:onal elite team travel. A selec:on of ready-to-wear and footwear, developed with adidas, round out the capsule. Arriving as part of MCM’s 50th anniversary celebra:ons, the partnership reaffirms sport as a pillar in the Haus’s history.

The collabora:on between MCM, adidas, and FC Bayern Women feels like a natural convergence of three defining pillars of German culture. United by exemplary legacies in luxury, sport, and football, the partnership celebrates a collec:ve cultural spirit that transcends disciplines and borders. Blending MCM’s craRsmanship, adidas’ sport heritage, and FC Bayern Women football legacy, the capsule creates a fresh expression where three dis:nc:ve worlds come together to create something greater than the sum of their parts.

The capsule draws on MCM’s nomad heritage and travel DNA, reinterpreting their iconic travel silhouettes. Anchored by the Ottomar Weekender and Stark Backpack, each piece showcases MCM’s signature Cognac Visetos monogram and the FC Bayern crest, with cream leather detailing lending a sports-like allure to the luxury craftsmanship. Across the wider ready-to-wear collection, adidas reimagines its signature tracksuit silhouette with MCM’s heritage motifs and its iconic three-stripes. Unisex and women’s jerseys, full-zip track tops, wide-leg track pants, and joggers translate the football uniform into elevated everyday wear.

As FC Bayern Women’s Official Travel Sponsor, MCM accompanied the team on its summer tour, dressing the players with exclusive leathergoods, including bags and backpacks. The tour’s first stop, Tokyo, is where the campaign was captured. Set against a backdrop of traditional Japanese architecture and gardens, the final images reflect a meeting of East and West at the intersection of football, fashion, and travel. Embracing quiet luxury and the current zeitgeist, the photos exist in moments of transition and tranquillity, preserving the spontaneity and ease of how the athletes exist beyond the pitch.
