Chloe Sofia – „Girl on the Internet“ + Exclusive Interview

Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers, what kind of drink would you recommend to sip on while they listen to your new music?

I definitely think a good Starbucks pink drink or some sort of refresher is a good pick for the vibe of my music. If you’re in the mood though you could also do an energy drink!

Please give us an update about new singles, a new album, tour dates and new videos.

I just released my newest single « girl on the internet » and I’m hosting my own Halloween concert in Toronto!! I’m very excited to perform with my backup band and meet some fans.

We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which harmless theory would you wish were true? (For example, dinosaurs living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California.)

I honestly wish milk made your bonds stronger. I know it’s not really a conspiracy theory but I just hate weightlifting and I wish I could just drink milk and my bones are good for the rest of my life.

What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

I would say Y2K or just 2000s bling fashion in general really suits my style of music and brand.

Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

I think my songs tend to have a lot of attitude! I’m not an artist who writes solely about love or relationships, I have a lot of opinions and big feelings outside of that. With my recent single I wrote about predators on the internet, which is a very uncomfortable topic for people but I had a lot to say about it and I think that’s what makes my music special; I’m not afraid to speak out about what’s happening and how I feel.

Besides music, do you have any special talents?

I’m really good at editing on canva! It kind of ties into my music because I do all of my own poster and merch designs but I can make some pretty sick stuff artistically as well 🙂

Name five things we all should know about you as an artist.

I’m a pop girl who loves pink

My music is for people with attitude, edge, and big feelings

I’m not afraid to write about what I think and how I feel

The road so far: who or what was your biggest support?

I think my biggest supporter has to be my mom! She’s the constant at every performance, car ride, and rehearsal. I don’t think I would’ve been able to make as much progress as I have over the past year without her.

What’s a question you’d like to answer but have never been asked in an interview before? Please include your answer.

I’ve always wanted someone to ask me how I get my blush to stay on all day! I like start with a layer of liquid blush a little lower on my cheekbones, then I use setting powder to set my face. After the powder I use powdered blush on top of the liquid and higher on my cheekbone. Then, I go in with a smaller brush and use sparkly pink eyeshadow to highlight my cheekbone and finally I use setting spray to keep it all in place.
