Notable additions to the core silhouettes and details of ASICS NOVALIS‘ debut include the GEL-STYRAX™ sneaker, a sabot-style shoe, as well as the ASICS tracksuit, reminiscent of a training set from the ASICS archives. A coat is presented that is reversible with snap buttons from the brand. It is a coherent extension of the adaptive function of the garments within the ASICS NOVALIS range. A zippered wrap skirt highlights these qualities and can easily be worn over pants. Archive shapes are expanded through the application of color block details and updated fabrics, particularly a softshell twill that contrasts with the Season 1 tonality.
Through constant revision, the second series of ASICS NOVALIS travels with lightness and purpose, synthesizing ‚A Sound Mind In A Sound Body‘. Sequence, seriality and repetition are all features of “practice”. ASICS NOVALIS visually decodes this idea in Season 2 by formulating an archival slanted repeat pattern executed on a special jacquard band. The relief motif is created in a blue and green diagonal sequence and draws the eye forward with its simplicity and severity. It can be found in all new developments and complements the dahlia and ASICS blue tones with accents of bright green and silver throughout the series. The motif reappears in footwear in the form of a raised, linear construction, particularly the GEL-STYRAX™ sneaker. The sabot style, without a classic lacing system, is endowed with lightness and versatility in wear.
