  • Separation anxiety disorder: Children who experience separation from parents or guardian figures in childhood develop this type of anxiety. They may feel that something bad will happen to their family member if they are not with them. 
  • Anxiety due to medical condition: Sometimes weakness or other medical conditions can cause anxiety.  
  • Substance-induced anxiety disorder: In this type, anxiety occurs when you do not consume the substance you’re addicted to. It may be a part of the withdrawal process.
