Agatha Is Dead! – New Single ‚Strangers‘ + Exclusive Interview

1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new  release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to sip  on while they listen to your new music?

Mixed answers for this one on our end — Joey would (as always) recommend a cold Corona, Noah would pour himself a whiskey (neat). Arthur thinks an espresso martini most suited and Lilly can’t make a decision to save her life (but would probably recommend all three drinks for a full listen through of the debut album, with some additional red wine for the necessary melancholia.)

2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates,
new videos?!

We have a very exciting year ahead of us! We’re finally releasing our debut album „Concrete“ on 11. September 2026 and we’ll be going on a headliner tour in October (08.10-16.10.26) and February (18.02.-25.02.27) through Germany (and Vienna) to promote it. Three singles from the album have already been released, „Courtroom Drama,“ „Kind Regards,“ and the latest „Strangers,“  and whilst we can’t say toooo much about the upcoming releases, without ruining any surprises, there’ll be at least one more music video to look out for. We’ll also be playing a few shows and festivals throughout the summer (we’re actually writing this from the road right now).

3. Name 5 things we all should know about you as a band?!

Oof this is difficult… Well, we always leave late, but are usually on time. Joey has a bunch of catchphrases that we could probably turn into bingo. It feels physically impossible to narrow down our music to a genre so we don’t. We write all of our songs together and have blind trust in each other when it comes to our instruments. On tour we push our beds together to turn it in to one big sleep over. Fuck Zionism and free Palestine.

4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

Someone recently said that we make baggy pants music.

5. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory
would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T.
living in a home in California)

If you’re pure of heart, cigarettes don’t count.

6. If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

Uff where do we start… Considering the current development with technology and AI, there should be far more restrictions and limitations (generative AI has no place in art and is an abomination to the human soul and our environment!) The whole way we consume music meanwhile makes it incredibly difficult for small and independent artists to survive. Our societal focus on social media also requires musicians to constantly have to think about content they can (and have to) promote around their art, in order to fight through the algorithm and „stay relevant.“

Not to mention the systemic issues of inequality and power dynamics in terms of race and gender that are still incredibly prevalent.

7. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

A reoccurring theme is definitely the struggle with meaning and internal reflection. Many songs can be read as an internal monologue, tracing pains of existence and love, identity formation and deconstruction. It’s both deeply personal and super abstract, somewhere between everything and nothing. The new album is going to delve more intensely into the violation of trust and intimacy through people meant to offer safety, the struggles of moral perfectionism and incessant self-control, and fighting for understanding and meaning in a world oversaturated with noise.

8.  A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an
interview before?! + Answer pls

I’m so sorry to disappoint, but we can’t think of a question :(((((
