»Their Time« is about five remarkable LGBTQIA+ people and their stories: Lola von der Gracht, Nella Ngingo, Francesco Cicconetti, Peter Tatchell and Damsel Elysium share their memories through the ages in this year’s Pride Month.
For LGBTQIA+ people, the issue of time has always brought with it particular struggles and challenges – from the relatively later occurrence of significant life events surrounding „emotional puberty“ (for example, experiencing later romantic relationships or the suppression of emotional development) to feelings of urgency and Shortage of time, partly due to historical events such as the AIDS epidemic.
It is precisely this complex, personal experience of time that is the subject of the short film “Their Time,” directed by Jess Kohl with the support of Jordan Anderson. In the inspiring interviews, five protagonists from different age groups and backgrounds each illuminate their individual journey and relationship to the concept of time and seek answers to a question that is as simple as it is philosophical.
