Vans partners with Nigerian-born, London-based collective Motherlan on a limited-edition collection celebrating their shared skate heritage and creative roots. The collaboration includes two Premium LX footwear styles, the Half Cab Reissue 33 and Old Skool, alongside a supporting OTW apparel capsule.
LX Half Cab Reissue 33: features custom MTN detailing, debossed Motherlan logo, translucent waffle sole revealing stained-glass artwork, fat laces, and a mix of suede, ripstop and pony-hair. The design reclaims Nigerian camo iconography as a symbol of creativity and self-expression.
LX Old Skool: a bold monotone take on Vans’ most iconic silhouette, built as a shared canvas for graffiti tags and handstyles, reflecting the crew’s collaborative approach.
Motherlan returned to Lagos to shoot a nostalgic campaign inspired by their youth skateboarding through the city, marking a full-circle moment as they bring their first global project with Vans back home.
