Under Armor x Unless: Regenerative Sportswear

Composting is defined as the biological decomposition and conversion of organic waste and residues under aerobic conditions (with atmospheric oxygen) (source: Compost & Biogas Association). This process is typically associated with garden waste or kitchen scraps in the home. Clothing manufacturer UNLESS, which was recently acquired by Under Armour, also utilizes this principle and produces 100% plastic-free and regenerative products that, just like garden waste or kitchen scraps, can be returned to the environment. The first collaborative collection from Under Armour and Unless was presented during Design Week in Milan – a modern and regenerative sportswear line for men and women.

„Our innovative approach is fundamentally different from the conventional production cycle, which is often based on plastics and generates waste. This regenerative sportswear collection is made entirely from plant-based materials and is designed to decompose rather than pollute the environment. This is a groundbreaking step toward a new way of developing products – with an innovative approach that respects both athletes and the environment,“ explains Eric Liedtke, founder of UNLESS and Executive Vice President of Brand Strategy at Under Armour.
