Thinking MU presents TIMELESS WORKERS, a collection that celebrates traditional trades and the people who keep them alive. Inspired by their way of life and the legacy they leave behind, the capsule reinterprets the spirit of manual work through a contemporary lens.
The campaign features Alba and Rafael, a father-daughter duo and artisanal fishers from the port of Barcelona; Jordi, a carpenter from La Garrotxa; and Martí, the sixth generation of a family of masoveros (caretakers of traditional Catalan farmhouses). Together, they embody the value of honest work, generational continuity, and a deep connection to the land and the sea.
Alba, the youngest fisher and shipowner in Catalonia, has made the Mediterranean her home. Alongside her father Rafael, she continues a four-generation family tradition. “When you buy fish from here, you’re not just keeping a trade alive — you’re keeping the territory and a part of our identity alive,” explains Alba. For Rafael, the sea means everything: “The Mediterranean is freedom. It taught me about life, patience, and the value of effort. Sharing it with my daughter is a pride that can’t be put into words.”

From inland Catalonia, Jordi works wood with the calm of someone who understands that every piece has its own rhythm. After leaving Barcelona to settle in La Garrotxa, he found in carpentry a more honest and grounded way of life: “This craft teaches me that things can’t be rushed. Wood has a soul, and if you listen to it, it guides you.” In his workshop, surrounded by mountains, Jordi works exclusively with local woods, convinced that true craftsmanship must respect the environment from which it is born.
Meanwhile, Martí, a masover by birth, cares for his family’s farmhouse, passed down from generation to generation since 1860. He cultivates vineyards, olive trees, and a vegetable garden, keeping Catalonia’s agricultural tradition alive. “I always knew I wanted to stay here,” he says. “I decided at eight years old, looking at the landscape from school. I thought: this is beautiful we must care for it and make it grow.” For Martí, the farmhouse is much more than a place: “Living in the countryside means accepting things as they are, with their joys and frustrations. If the work of the masover disappeared, we’d lose part of our roots.”
TIMELESS WORKERS reflects the bond between people and their environment, respect for tradition, and the importance of keeping Mediterranean roots alive. Each garment combines contemporary design, functionality, and comfort, taking inspiration from classic workwear with utilitarian silhouettes and an autumnal color palette that evokes Mediterranean landscapes.

In the words of Thinking MU’s creative team: “This capsule is a tribute to the effort that leaves a mark, to the legacy of work as a value, and to the connection between who we were, who we are, and what we want to remain.”
The collection seeks to highlight the value of well-made work and the heritage of effort as an essential part of our identity. It’s a practical, honest, and enduring proposal — designed to accompany everyday life with style and coherence.
More than a collection, TIMELESS WORKERS is a statement of principles: an invitation to reconnect with our origins, to value effort, and to celebrate our roots. Each piece reflects Thinking MU’s philosophy — a commitment to responsible and conscious fashion.
About the protagonists
Alba and Rafael
Father and daughter, fourth-generation fishers from the port of Barcelona. Rafael has dedicated his life to the Mediterranean, from which he says he learned patience, perseverance, and freedom. Alba started fishing at 20 and is now the youngest fisher and shipowner in Catalonia. She continues the family tradition with a contemporary and sustainable approach.
Martí
His family arrived at the Pontjuan farmhouse in 1860, where they worked for the owners of the time. Years later, they became the new proprietors, keeping the original name as a way to honor tradition. Today, Martí represents the sixth generation devoted to cultivating vineyards, olive trees, and vegetable gardens, preserving the essence of Catalan agricultural heritage.
Jordi
Fifteen years ago, he discovered his passion for carpentry and left his life in Barcelona to move to a workshop in La Garrotxa. There, he works exclusively with local woods, convinced that craftsmanship must respect the environment from which it is born. His philosophy is based on calm, listening, and patience: “Wood has a soul, and if you listen to it, it guides you.”
