Futuristic and iconic – a watch reinvents time: Rado DiaStar Original x Tej Chauhan
This watch seems to have traveled into the future in a time capsule. The new Rado DiaStar Original x Tej Chauhan is the second collaboration between Rado and the British industrial design superstar. Inspired by science fiction and futuristic worlds, Tej Chauhan created a bold reinterpretation of the iconic DiaStar that spectacularly connects the watch’s historical heritage with the future.
The combination of visionary design codes and characteristic Rado materials will delight lovers of the brand as well as design fans. The sweeping bezel made of gold-colored Ceramos™, the faceted Sapphire crystal and the galvanically refined dial with diamond dust effect testify to Rado’s material expertise. But it is the details into which the visionary incorporates his design messages: the cushion-shaped Rubber strap with hidden engraving on the folding clasp, the minute track in silver and blue and the date in Tej Chauhan’s script in phosphorescent colors. The hour and minute hands in Black gold are coated with white Super-LumiNova® and are accompanied by a bright yellow second hand.
Inside, the R764 automatic movement with 80 hours of power reserve and anti-magnetic Nivachron™ balance spring ensures precision and reliability. The Rado DiaStar is not only a designer piece, but also a reliable companion.
