The Dutch brand Secrid, inventor of the original Cardprotector, has been awarded the prestigious iF DESIGN AWARD for its latest innovation, the Cardprotector+.
For over 70 years, the iF DESIGN AWARD has been one of the world’s most respected design prizes, recognizing outstanding design quality, innovation, and impact. This year, more than 10,000 entries from 68 countries were evaluated by an international jury of 129 renowned design experts.
The Cardprotector+ demonstrates how thoughtful product design can continuously evolve without losing its original essence. Since the introduction of the Cardprotector in 2009, which established a new product category in the field of bag accessories, Secrid has stood for consistent innovation.
For the Cardprotector+, the mechanism has been fundamentally redesigned to increase its lifespan and further optimize the user experience. Among the new features is an automatic locking mechanism that now securely holds even metal cards.
Like all Secrid products, the Cardprotector+ is manufactured responsibly and ethically in Europe. The iF DESIGN AWARD confirms this commitment.
“For Secrid, this award is not only a milestone, but also a confirmation of our design philosophy: Design with impact,”
René van Geer, founder of Secrid.
