Tailoring is at the core: made in Italy by expert artisans, sartorial garments are fully canvassed using time- honored methodologies. Different constructions and fittings are presented – jackets fully lined, half-lined and completely unlined, in slim and fitted shapes, as well as a new boxier and shorter fit inspired by recent Prada shows. A variety of models are offered also for coats with differences in cut, construction, and style.
Fabrics shift according to yearly seasons to reflect variations in climate, ranging from lightweight summer kid mohair to precious Super 200 wool, cashmeres, and vicuña weaves.
Often used as a canvas for print and decoration, shirts both classic and bowling have a prominence – there is a multitude of textile propositions, including archival Holliday and Brown prints and iconic heritage Prada motifs. Color variations, exclusive to Made to Measure, are proposed in cotton poplins and silk twills. Pajama styles with classic piped detailing are also special to Prada. Formal shirts allow multiple choices of collar and cuff options, with customized monogramming available.
In reflection of Prada’s century-long expertise, the offer for leather garments approaches a bespoke service. A complete prototype in cotton canvas is created for fittings, simulating the final garment with all metal hardware finishes. For this proposal, a selection of special materials is exclusively sourced for Prada.
Completing the personalization options, the Made to Order knitwear services include exclusive fine yarns.
Details allow additional opportunities for uniqueness: choices of mother-of-pearl or horn buttons, or metal buttons engraved with the Prada logo; linings in printed variations or jacquard logo inspired by the interiors of Prada luggage.
