1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to zip on while they listen to your new music?

During the album I drank mostly a homemade tea made out of liqorice rooot, peppermint leaves and chamomile flowers and in the summer a home-made drink of boiled rose hips, loganberries valerian root, lemon balm leaves and tonic water on ice, It’s against my nature to tell people what they should and shouldn’t do so I can only share what it is I have done.

2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!

The Last of England is the third song on Crying the Neck, an album which i’ve realised now Is a series of responses to loss, decay and death. Here, on this song, what i’ve been calling my own personal national anthem, is my investigation into the sense of loss of national identity and search for belonging and purpose in England that I observed across the country in the years after the referendum vote of June 2016.

3. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)

I think conspiracy theories are a way human beings cope with a sense of powerlessness over their existence and help process or reason with the hard or ovewhelming realities of life. I don’t wish any were true as i don’t think of them other than in fascination with what has been created in other peoples imaginations and most importantly why.

4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

nudity, ochre stained muslin, yohji yamamoto pour homme, brown leather and hessian

5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

I formed a mirror of obsidian Here in my forehead that year My second life begun

I scry with that black eye

The stations of the sun Through a glass darkly But at least I know Where I’m going

6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?

I can balance five spoons on my face and head,

7. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!

I have eleven toenails

I have three nipples

I have 7 albums

I have only one co-write credit (with alec empire)across the 100 songs I have released to date I have found my best work is being made and greatest peace achieved in life and art in the last five years since the day

I got clean and sober in 2020

8. The road so far…. who or what was your biggest support??

It has been very painful to make and finish an album without being able to play it to my mother and experience her support , who died in 2018, even the shows I am doing, to lose your biggest cheerleader when you feel you are finally reaching the standard work you had hoped to reach has taken alot of learning and self belief.

9. A question youd like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls

Q : when have you been most happiest in your life

A : lying in my garden at night at the end of summer two years ago on the grass of my very own home at last looking up a wild map of the brightest stars in the blackest night, no sound but the north sea at the end of the road and my black cat perceval lying next to me half asleep with his arms wrapped around my wrist
