OMEGA launches Seamaster Planet Ocean Worldtimer in two striking colors

OMEGA’s innovative Worldtimer is now being introduced into the Seamaster Planet Ocean collection. This fascinating function has been a favorite in the brand’s Aqua Terra 150M family since 2017. But now, its mechanical complexity and precise aesthetics are reinterpreted in a bold ceramic version, offering travelers two inspiring models for the wrist.

Inspired by the Planet Ocean Deep Black, each of the 45.50 mm models features a brushed black ceramic [ZrO2] case and a black ceramic bezel featuring a laser-ablated diver’s scale polished in positive relief. Perhaps the most intriguing detail of an OMEGA Worldtimer is found in the center of the dial. Here, a representation of the continents is rendered on a Grade 5 titanium surface, with the view of the North Pole created through laser ablation and lacquering. This is an exceptional level of detail that brings the planet into particularly sharp focus.

Surrounding this topographical map is a 24-hour indicator, separated by a hesalite crystal, separating day and night. The outer part of each dial is finished in DLC black and decorated with a laser-abraded and polished honeycomb pattern.

The two versions include:

A turquoise lacquer model with hands and indices filled with white Super-LumiNova. It is presented on an integrated black textured rubber strap with turquoise stitching and a ceramic and ceramized titanium folding clasp.

A gray lacquer model with hands and indices filled with OMEGA’s new gray Super-LumiNova. It is presented on the same black textured rubber strap, but with a gray underside.

With the OMEGA Planet Ocean Worldtimer, you’re always connected to the cities and hours on our planet thanks to the global destinations that surround each dial and its outer ring. More than just a list of adventurous place names, these markers allow the wearer to track the day across multiple time zones, including Switzerland, where OMEGA has included its hometown of Biel at GMT+1.

Powering these watches is the automatic Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8938, visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. Lovers of the Planet Ocean collection will, of course, note the impressive 60 bar (600 m / 2000 ft) water resistance, allowing each Worldtimer to go deeper than ever before.
