Since 1993, the Seamaster Diver 300M has been one of OMEGA’s best-known and most popular diving watches. This year the collection continues its proud legacy with a new series of models offering a selection of designs in different types of metal. The first of these new watches was spotted this summer on the wrist of actor and OMEGA ambassador Daniel Craig, who wore the black stainless steel version to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. This debut was followed by a wave of interested and curious inquiries from watch fans around the world, eagerly awaiting the official launch of the collection.
The new Diver 300M series moves away from the familiar ceramic style of previous years – and instead takes inspiration from the Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition that James Bond wore in No Time to Die. In particular, the new 42mm models feature the same domed sapphire crystal as the watch in the James Bond film, giving them a certain vintage aesthetic. The Milanese bracelets adopt the same style as the Bond watch and provide a sporty look on the wrist.
So far the collection offers four different options. These include the following two designs, each in combination with a Milanese bracelet or a rubber strap:
– A stainless steel model with a black aluminum bezel and a black aluminum dial with a laser engraved wave pattern.
– A stainless steel model with a Grade 5 titanium bezel and a brushed stainless steel PVD coated dial.
In keeping with OMEGA’s high standards of precision, performance and magnetic resistance, all watches are powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Caliber 8806, visible through the sapphire crystal back.
When the first Seamaster Diver 300M was introduced in 1993, the OMEGA brand celebrated its comeback into the world of diving watches with this watch – based on its legendary timepieces from the 1960s and 70s. Since then, the Seamaster Diver has become a true underwater classic with its distinctive details such as the wave pattern on the dial, the skeletonized hands and the helium escape valve at 10 o’clock.
