1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to sip on while they listen to your new music
Hi, thank you for inviting me! I’m actually not much of a drinker, so my recommendations are pretty simple. I’d say Calpis Soda — it’s light, refreshing, and somehow matches the mood of my music.
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
I just released my new single “What’s On Your Mind” on February 6th. It’s the lead single from my upcoming EP, which will be out in April. I’ll also be hosting a release show at Paper Dress Vintage in London. It will be my first headline show and I’m really excited about.
4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
I’m drawn to outfits that feel retro but bright- for example, a green Cuban collar shirt with cream trousers. The retro elements reflect the influences in my music, while the lively colors capture the playful, upbeat character of my songs.
5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?
As an introverted person, I rarely go to parties or bars, so the internet and dating apps naturally became the main space where I explored my personal life. Over the years, I’ve developed crushes, been ghosted, and occasionally found something real – all through a screen. This project is my way of reflecting on those moments and turning them into something lasting through music.
6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?
Honestly… not really (laughs).
7. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!
I started my career as a producer and composer.
I started singing because I started writing lyrics. I started writing lyrics because I fell in love with someone on a dating app.
My biggest influences come from 60s/70s pop music.
I’m blindly optimistic, which people tell me my music sounds exactly like who I am.
I also make music for musical theaters.
8. The road so far…. who or what was your biggest support??
It has to be my family. I’m from China, where many families tend to value stability and traditional career paths. But my family has always been different. They supported my decision to pursue music from day one, and that kind of belief has meant everything to me.
9. A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls
Maybe: ‘Did you always want to be a singer?’ I’ve seen that question asked a lot, especially to artists who’ve just had a breakthrough. It’s usually such an inspiring moment — and I’ve always wanted to see the reaction if I answered, ‘Absolutely not.’
