Launched in 2009 after scanning the feet of 2,500 athletes,BIOM®, deriving from biomechanical optimization, has become a cornerstone of ECCO’s footwear identity. Originally inspired by barefoot runners, the tech was designed to support the body’s natural movement by creating a shoe that works with your stride, not against it. Engineered to support the foot’s natural movement, BIOM® offers stability, support, flexibility and an all-round optimal fit and feel. Simply put? These are shoes designed to give all-day comfort, from the very first wear.

Now, ECCO takes the BIOM® to the next level, with a new generation of shoes. Introducing the ECCO BIOM® 720 collection.

A key component of the BIOM® 720 collection is the ECCO ENCORE technology, engineered to deliver superior cushioning, breathability, flexibility and all-day comfort. Strategically positioned vents in the outsole (a detail ECCO first introduced in 2011) allow for myriad benefits: efficient energy return, enhanced breathability, and shock absorption.

The spring/summer 2026 collection comprises two key styles, for men and women.

A versatile waterproof all-rounder.

ECCO ENCORE and BIOM® technology combine with a GORE-TEX SURROUND® construction for durable, waterproof construction which offers protection from all angles. Well-equipped handle wet weather, the in-built breathability makes them suitable for year-round wear.
