Recognised as progressive forces in their respective fields, MYKITA and Luke Meier’s OAMC label are united by a commitment to innovation, craftsmanship, and a distinctly functional aesthetic. Both design houses are known for pushing technical boundaries to achieve refined, purpose-driven products. Translating this shared philosophy into the eyewear realm, the collaboration brings together MYKITA’s engineering expertise with OAMC’s directional design language to create a concept defined by utilitarian elegance and technical precision.
The MYKITA + OAMC capsule draws on the practical ethos of mid-century eyewear, reworking functional tropes into contemporary designs with a high-end edge. The hybrid frames combine lightweight stainless steel with MYKITA’s proprietary MYLON® material – its matte surfaces evoking industrial tactility, reminiscent of tools and field equipment. Flat base-two lenses define the boxy geometry, while MYLON® rings shaped like subtle blinders offer added side protection and sculptural accents.
The two models – RAT, a sharp square navigator, and GRUNT, a retro-inflected panto shape with a double bridge – reflect a dual reading of utility: one decisive and graphic, the other quietly subversive. Both silhouettes speak to the uncompromising visual language of OAMC, executed with MYKITA’s proprietary engineering and materials. Premium sun lenses by Zeiss ensure superior clarity with full UV protection and relaxed vision through advanced anti-reflective coatings. Every piece is handmade at MYKITA HAUS in Berlin.

“I have an appreciation for the ingenuity of Moritz and MYKITA – independent thinking, extreme pursuit of deep knowledge – so inspiring”, says OAMC founder Luke Meier. “I’m very satisfied with both the product and the process we went through together. Sharing a design sensibility and a love for aesthetics makes our work a true pleasure. I am very proud of what we have created.”
“When I met Luke, it was immediately clear that we were speaking the same language,” says MYKITA founder and creative director Moritz Krueger. “We discussed our ideas for the collaboration and then simply set about realising this shared vision – translating Luke’s visual reference to Sixties-era utilitarian eyewear into a modern product through signature MYKITA materials and engineering. The result is a radical kind of precision that resonates with both our worlds”
