and the energy of the 90 ́s, a collection has been created that unites these opposites and opens up new places of longing.

THE COLLECTION

Marcel Ostertag ́s new collection is a tribute to togetherness, to celebration, to life. It combines baroque details with iconic 70 ́s silhouettes and the rebellious manner of the 90 ́s rave culture. A wild combination that feels intoxicating – intensive, emotional, unforgettable.

Ornate flower motifs meet graphic shapes and black patent leather. Swinging dresses with corsage details, opulent flower prints and delicate lace are presented next to edgy oversized blazers made of woven brocade. Patterns from tiles, flowers and paisley create new pictures. 70 ́s suits with baroque prints, waving silk dresses with frills – every piece tells its own story.

What was especially important to Marcel Ostertag, was that the pieces can be easily integrated into modern wardrobes – despite the opulent, baroque elements. The collection is made for every day – for every generation, for every age. Fashion that inspires but does not overwhelm. Striking, but not disguised.

SUSTAINABILITY

For 19 years now, Marcel Ostertag and his team have been committed to sustainable strategies – thus, they are amongst the pioneers in the German fashion scene. Long before sustainability became a trend, Marcel Ostertag asked himself: “Can luxury be sustainable?” His answer: “Yes, by all means.”

For many seasons, the Ostertag team has integrated so-called Dead Stock Fabrics – high-quality materials that already exist and are obtained by luxury brands. More than 70 percent of the collection are created from already existing materials. This avoids over-production and is resource-efficient.

In addition, there is a life-long repair service that keeps favourite pieces going for a long time. True sustainability begins with respect – for clothes, people, our environment.
