The successful collaboration between the leading optics and trend expert Mister Spex and the renowned designer Marcel Ostertag is entering the next round. Both partners, who are connected by shared values, have once again created a perfect symbiosis. As part of his show at the AW25 Fashion Week in Berlin, Marcel Ostertag will present his latest eyewear creations on the runway, while the Berlin designer’s collection will be launched exclusively at Mister Spex on January 31, 2025.
The collaboration between Mister Spex and Marcel Ostertag produces an eyewear collection inspired by his love of nature and his own garden. In keeping with Ostertag’s designs for his SS25 fashion collection under the name „Eden“, the interplay of sweeping curves and straight lines conveys a gentle feeling of lightness that makes the collection appear timeless yet modern.
In addition to sunglasses, the Marcel Ostertag collection also includes a large selection of corrective models, many styles with a unisex character. The variety of shapes and materials reflects Ostertag’s joy of experimentation, while design elements such as elegant pearl decorations on many models speak a carefully staged design language.
The highlights of the collection include oversized retro models in aviator shape, which impress with double bridges, colored lenses and structured full-rim frames, as well as delicate metal frames with unusual glass surrounds, while clean triangle shapes give them a futuristic look. All models are made from recycled materials and – as a homage to Ostertag’s fashion collection – bear the name “Eden”/“Garden” in different languages.
