HOW IT BEGAN…
The managing partner of ARYA LAYA and scientific director, Dr. Dieter Schmalz, invented the fat-moist balancer in 1984. Dr. Dieter Schmalz says: “I wanted to develop a natural moisturizer without emulsifiers and preservatives. For optimal skin care, it should also contain oil, be absorbed well and not stick. The result is a 2-phase product to improve the fat-moisture balance of the skin.” The product initially had doubters from within its own ranks who said that cosmetics with the word “fat” didn’t sell and were off-putting. Managing director Christin Lüdemann, who has been responsible for ARYA LAYA since 2022, wants to continue this success story. The cosmetics expert now puts the fat-moist balancer in the golden light in the truest sense of the word and says: “The fat-moist balancer is our signature product. Many attempts have been made to copy it, but customers have relied on the original and have been shaking and shining for 40 years. THE 2-PHASE SERUM CONTAINS…
This is what the orange classic contains: The water phase contains aloe vera, flower honey and rose water, which intensively moisturize, nourish, strengthen and soothe the skin. For the oil phase, valuable natural plant oils were selected that smooth and firm, such as jojoba oil, almond and avocado oil – all rich in essential fatty acids. Water-soluble beetroot extract and oil-soluble carrot extract provide active ingredients and color. Thanks to the carotene it contains, the skin immediately appears fresher, smoother, plumper and has a radiant glow. And how wonderful it smells! Natural vitamin E was added to the oil phase as an active ingredient and as an antioxidant that is intended to protect the plant oils from becoming rancid. Another property of vitamin E is that it binds free radicals and thus prevents premature, environmentally-related skin aging.
