LE VIE DI MILANO – The luxury collection from TRUSSARDI Prafums

Elegant, lively, cultural – Milan is a city that captivates visitors from all over the world with its sophistication, liveliness and cultural diversity and delights them with its unmistakable Italian charm, which can be experienced on every street corner.

This multifaceted city, which is also the home of the TRUSSARDI brand, served as the inspiration for the TRUSSARDI perfume collection Le Vie di Milano. Each fragrance in this range represents a street in Milan, also known as “Via” in Italian. The luxury collection includes a total of 9 unisex fragrances, all of which capture a piece of Milan’s unique atmosphere and pay homage to the city in northern Italy.

LIMITLESS SHOPPING VIA DELLA SPIGA

The fragrance belongs to the olfactory family of floral-oriental musk. It is a rich and velvety scent that perfectly evokes the atmosphere of the “Golden Quadrilateral”. Perfumers Quentin Bisch and Amélie Jacquin added the sweet note of honey to the golden liquid, which is immediately reminiscent of two Milanese pastry shops – Cova and Marchesi – which shoppers visit before, during and after browsing through the boutiques on Via Montenapoleone. Notes of rose, jasmine, mahonia and heliotropine add a touch of luxury that characterizes the streets of Via Spiga, Sant’Andrea and Via Gesù.

“I wanted to create a sensual and enticing scent based on honey. The idea was to interpret the luminosity and fluidity of honey, expressing its addictive, enveloping and delicate dimension.” – Quentin Bisch, perfumer “

An attractive and irresistible scent like honey, ideal to warm the soul in winter. Just as expressive and diverse as a walk through the luxurious Via Della Spiga with its fabulous boutiques.” – -Amélie Jacquin, perfumer

PASSEGGIATA IN GALLERIA VITTORIO EMANUELE II

The olfactory composition evokes the sublime elegance of the Galleria, combining the Gothic solemnity of the Duomo with the neoclassical style of the Piermarini. A brilliant example of steel architecture, the Galleria was built in Milan in 1865 and faithfully recreated 15 years later by order of the Tsar in Moscow’s main department store on Red Square. In the so-called “Salon of the Milanese”, the aromas of cafes and tea rooms mingle with expensive perfumes from the women in evening dresses and men in tuxedos who cross the salon to get to the La Scala Opera House. Julie Massé created an exciting cocktail of hazelnut, vanilla and coffee, tuberose, cinnamon and cedarwood.

“The fragrance is inspired by the unique atmosphere of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan. I’m sitting on a café terrace, enjoying an exquisite Italian espresso, which is in perfect harmony with a piece of light and airy panettone and an almost addictive Piemontese. Under the glass ceiling that lets in the sky and light, I admire the beautiful architecture, the colorful mosaics and the shiny gold tones. This place is an expression of pure luxury, Italian sophistication and modern bourgeoisie. I wanted to translate this atmosphere into a luxurious scent, and of course only valuable ingredients came to mind: coffee for the Italian touch, the floral lushness of the typical Tuscan tuberose and the sensuality of vanilla. “ – Julie Massé, perfumer

BEHIND THE CURTAIN PIAZZA ALLA SCALA

The perfumer Amandine Marie differentiates between different notes in the complex olfactory fragrance Behind The Curtain Piazza alla Scala and particularly highlights luxurious accords of saffron and leather. She combines these into a unique melody that seamlessly transitions from baritone tones such as leather, sandalwood and cedarwood into a soprano that is extended like Maria Callas: from the liveliness of the high notes, expressed by bergamot and jasmine, to the unfathomable depths of the contralto , which are reflected in labdanum and patchouli.

“I was inspired by the atmosphere of the Teatro Alla Scala. Therefore, I chose saffron, one of the most precious spices in the world, and natural woods such as cypriol, cedar and patchouli to recreate the luxurious and traditional mood of this majestic theater. As a tribute to Trussardi’s Italian craftsmanship, I added a special touch that expresses the velvety texture of the finest leather.” – Amandine Marie, perfumer

APERITIVO MILANESE PORTA NUOVA

With amaretto accords and lemony notes of mandarin leaves, perfumer Emilie Coppermann celebrates the contrast between Italian, sociable tradition and the absolute modernity of the district, which is home to the tallest skyscrapers in Italy (the Unicredit Tower by César Pelli) and the Vertical Forest by Stefano Boeri . The luminosity of Calabrian bergamot is sublime by neroli, while the olfactory depth of heliotropes is softened by the sweetness of the base notes (amber, vanilla, benzoin).

“Porta Nuova may look like a cold, modern architectural place, but it is actually full of conviviality, where people of all ages meet after work to shop or have an aperitif. I wanted to translate this relaxed and warm atmosphere into a fragrance. Olfactorically speaking, the calming almond note, which is at the center of my creation, evokes the typical Amaretto smell. I topped the smell with the best citrus fruits: Italian neroli and bergamot from Calabria. I enhanced the softness of this note with a sensual base of amber. The composition is absolutely addictive and typically Italian.” – Emilie Coppermann, perfumer

I VICOLI VIA FIORI CHIARI

There is a lot to discover in the labyrinth of alleys that lead from Via Fiori Chiari to Brera. The rebellious spirit of the artists can be felt particularly in the Pinacoteca of Brera, founded since the end of the 18th century: 24,000 square meters of culture and beauty. A stone’s throw away is the botanical garden designed by Maria Theresa of Austria. And then there’s the Jamaica Bar, the fortune-telling tables in the neighborhood’s historic boutiques, and the lush scents of the niche perfumeries concentrated on Via Brera. The “nose” of perfumer Pierre-Costantin Guéros perfectly recreates this unique atmosphere with ingredients full of personality such as cardamom, star anise, elemi and marigold.

“As you walk along Via Fiori Chiari, you feel the history of these ancient cobblestones and admire the lively society that hangs out in trendy cafes and concept stores. I wanted to capture this atmosphere of freedom and serenity and transform it into an eye-catching scent. I chose patchouli and the ultimate bohemian essence for that sense of freedom. I added warm spices to mimic the smell of mulled wine drunk on a typical cold and foggy day in Milan. The mix of warmth and mist creates a very sophisticated contrasting note. “ – Pierre-Constantin Guéros, perfumer

MUSC NOIR PERFUME ENHANCER

This dual-purpose perfume, on the one hand, reinforces the olfactory chords of the five other perfumes in the Le Vie di Milano collection. On the other hand, thanks to the excellently orchestrated notes by perfumer Leslie Gauthier, it can also be worn wonderfully on its own. What at first glance seems like a very simple olfactory composition hides an intrinsic complexity due to the deliberate contrast between iris and musk, jasmine and cedarwood. Indispensable as an enhancer and eau de parfum, it creates an unprecedented milestone in the luxury perfume segment, adding value and prestige to the entire Trussardi Parfums collection.

“It is an exciting adventure for a perfumer to find the perfect way to make the experience of the Trussardi collection excellent. How to maximize a scent without changing its uniqueness? To create this „enhancer“, I had the idea of a musk cloud: a kind of musk complex that subtly intensifies the scents. I worked with a light, velvety scent that is addictive at the same time. I have a musk-cedar structure for created the strength and balanced it with the harmony of jasmine and orris. The result is an amazing, silvery-soft revelation.” – Leslie Gauthier, perfumer
